Covid-19 Update

Debbie Willes

What uncertain times we are living!

Like everyone, we are having to adjust to the many changes to our usual routines and plans and we wanted to share our latest news and situation with you.

Firstly, we want to thank everyone who has been in touch and offered messages of support - we really appreciate it. We are safe and well - as are our family - so that makes everything else much easier to bear.

We also want to thank our 2020 guests for their understanding regarding their reservations; many of you have already re-booked your holidays for next year. In view of the situation, we have changed our booking policies to help guests:

For guests who re-book for a later date -either this year or next - we are carrying over deposits already paid to the re-booked date, and maintaining this year's prices for those guests now coming in 2021.

We have opened our 2021 reservations already - re-booking guests will have priority so there's no rush for 2020 guests to re-book their holidays - we understand that you may not be able to commit to exact dates just yet.

Whilst social distancing measures and other restrictions are in place it is very difficult to predict how and when we can get back to some sort of normality. Our first priority is safety, so we are following the fast-changing advice closely, and reviewing all aspects of our holidays, so that we can be sure that - when it is safe to do so - we will be ready to re-start our holidays and be able to take very good care of you, whilst still ensuring you'll have a great time.

So for guests still booked on 2020 holidays for later this year - if you do want to leave your booking as it is and wait to see what happens, we won’t ask for the balance payment until you arrive. Of course if you aren't able to take the holiday as planned, or would prefer to re-book anyway, we will still carry over your deposit and give you priority for a 2021 reservation as above. In any case, we'll get in touch with you to let you know the latest situation as your holiday date approaches.

In France, we began the first steps of de-confinement this week. We can now resume cycling as normal, so are able to check out our cycle routes and plan new and different options for our guests. Some of the region's tourist sites - chateaux, wineries and museums - are opening or planning to do so shortly, with additional safety measures in place for guests' security. There will be a review of 'next steps' in early June which may open more places if it is safe to do so.

To get a 'virtual' taste of the region whilst you can't be here for real - you can follow our social media pages on facebook and/or Instagram.

In the meantime, take good care of yourselves and your loved ones, stay safe, and we look forward to welcoming you to the beautiful Loire valley as soon as we can.

Debbie and Mark
